So me and a friend really want to play melee together but when he downloads netplay 4.0-652 from the same link as me, he gets a different version and he can only connect through port forwarding, there is no netplay id connection, we tried port forwarding and it dost work. Another friend downloaded from the same link as him and got the same version as me and we have no difficulty playing with each other through netplay id.
The version he uses has start netplay rather than connect to netplay in the tools (http://prnt.sc/ddwu88).

we have the same version of melee.

we use this version rather than 5.0 because it is much better in terms of fps and lag for us
