Freezing in Yu-Gi-Oh Falsebound Kingdom
|
Finally managed to single-out the problem! It has to do with the Audio Drivers! The freezing would occur during the victory Fanfare, the sound cut out at points before freezing, and at the most recent occurence, after Gilfer used his attack and the sound glitched up, inputting the Konami Code (where the voice goes: Yu-Gi-Oh) it crashes just when the voice should speak, so it's got something to do with just that one part of the audio.
So not necessarily the Drivers, but the Audio itself. Though the hash check doesn't show anything wrong with the iso. 04-14-2013, 07:48 AM

I think I have the same problem you do. I'm on Mission 4 and I took over some castles, but it started when the enemies respawned with half health. I couldn't killed the respawned enemies or the boss. Even if i didn't kill them it freezes at the result screen if you win or lose. Any way to fix it or do I just have to find a different one? I don't know how to dump and all of that fancy stuff, but I can try it if it will fix the freezing. The good thing is I played through Kaiba's story first and I never had one problem, so it might just be Yugi's story? 04-14-2013, 08:01 AM
Try using the latest development release via the download link at the top of this page. A lot of audio and anti-freeze code has been added recently.

Yes, considering you're using a really old build from an unofficial site. He's suggesting that you use the latest development build from the official site.

Edit: Actually it just became a new huge problem. It now greatly delays, as far back to my previous battles so I hear different musics going on and sounds that shouldn't be there. 08-07-2013, 05:42 PM
The problem is still not solved. Still crashing and freezing. I guess not all games can be fixed.
@Hibiro: You should try with a more recent build (Development versions)

I did. 1721. The game now freezes up on Kaiba's Side, Chapter 10: Aid from Afar where you're surrounded. And it's always after the battle against the same enemy too.
