Hi!

I recently observed heavy frame drops in some GC games (from 60 to <30) which only seem to occure when light effects are being displayed while other assets of the games move. (Most of the time the games run fine with 60)

Does anyone have an idea why this happens? Which setting should i try out/play around?

Games:

Eternal Darkness (PAL, 60Hz):

[Core]
GFXBackend = Vulkan

[Video_Hardware]
VSync = True

[Video_Settings]
InternalResolution = 3
MSAA = 4
AspectRatio = 0
wideScreenHack = False
EnableGPUTextureDecoding = True


Metroid Prime (PAL, 60Hz):

[Core]
GFXBackend = Vulkan


[Video_Hardware]
VSync = True

[Video_Settings]
InternalResolution = 3
MSAA = 4
wideScreenHack = True
AspectRatio = 1
ShaderCompilationMode = 2

[Video_Hacks]
EFBToTextureEnable = True


I've used the wiki recommendations for each game. (which basically work fine)

System:
Intel i5-6600k
GTX 1070
16 GB DDR4 2100mhz
Mainly Linux (Ubuntu Desktop 22.04) should also occure on windows 10.
