Hey!

I recently made a Mario Kart Wii TAS and wanted to encode it into an .AVI file. So, I opened op Dolphin, started my recording and started dumping frames. There was a message at the top of the screen: "The framedump to framedump.raw has started" or something like that. Then, my movie played and after ~1 hour it was done. I unchecked the box "Dump Frames" and looked in Dolphin's Dump folder. I made the Frames folder, and it contained 1 file: framedump.raw (47.46 GB). I thought there was supposed to be an .AVI file there? And, I don't want to dump the frames all over again, so can I encode the .raw file to an .AVI?

Thanks,

-Mvf314

P.S.
My computer specs:
OS X 10.9.2 (13C64)
2.7 GHz Intel Core i7
8 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
AMD Radeon HD 6630M 256 MB

I'm using Dolphin 4.0-3587.

Proper frame dumping for Windows was added in 4.0-3595. However, linux/OSX support is current in progress of being added.

As for the .raw file, you can probably open the file in Premiere Pro and After Effects to convert it to an AVI file.

EDIT: Are you using the AVSync hack, or the clean build from master?

.raw isn't a format that's supposed to be output by Dolphin. Perhaps libav is missing on the computer?

EDIT: Did you get any option for codecs/compression?

It's a library I believe. I'm trying to find more information on if it ever worked in OSX.

It appears that OSX has never actually worked with frame dumping. I'll escalate the issue in our issue tracker.
