I have been trying to get D5 working on my Ubuntu laptop for about a week off/on. I finally got games to load (missing packages) however, I have tried a few different games with similar if not the same experience. I can't get past the start screen. For example I went to play metroid prime, no settings changed beside what I used in the past on my windows builds. Using opengl, 100% speed. I am using an Nvidia gefore 820M with a little less than 1GB of dedicate VM. I have an i7 @ 3 GHz and 16 GB of ram. I am using the latest nvidia drivers, 367.

However, when I started the game it went from 120 FPS to 26-30 FPS, audio stuttering. I let it run for a while and the demo video started to play and thats when the flickering started to occur.  I tried wind waker and FFCC. Same experience.

Any ideas on how to fix this? What information do you need?

Did you check what the temps are reaching on your laptop after running Dolphin?  I'd check the temps before, then check it again when you start noticing the frame drops & stuttering
