Anyway ,4830 here

Doesnt work with 5186 for me. Getting the invalid address error.Works with 4830 but runs very slow.

hi there, using 4830 maybe it's the best thing we got right now with some tweaks...although in crowded area >5 monsters could cause severe FPS drop, mine was 31 to just 22, VPS from 60 to just around 40-50 and speed drops from 100% to 72% and it's giving me a headache as it's very noticable...

my specs are :
amd phenom 2 X3 720BE
HD4890 turbo
4GB ram

is it because i'm using an AMD chipset??is there any solution to this issue??

tweaks :
-framelimit 60 (tried off and the game runs like crazy and still it doesn't solve crowded area)
-enable dual core (tried disable it and no performance impact at all)
-enable idle skipping
-HLE the IPL
_TLB hacks, checked
D3D:
-safe texture cache, off
-EFB hacks (EFB scaled copy), ON
-EFB copy to texure (tried RAM, slight performance drop)

thats real odd, i have the same gfx card, but an overclocked one, same amount of ram, and what looks like a better cpu, and the exact same spellforce copy, but i still get slowdowns.

now i'm really curious as to whats goin on

Actually, you know what, I've played the game much more now and I do get a few fps drops here and there. I don't think its possible to play the game without any drops in fps at all unless maybe you had a 4+GHz cpu or something. For what it's worth I'm also playing the game at 1080p.

i've done some fooling around, and an odd discovery, the japanese version runs at a good framerate, while the english copy seems to have slowdown. not sure why. i tested em with the same settings on the same version of the emulator

solved a bit FPS drop!!

for those who using 4830...i changed the framelimit to off and tick the DSP's HLE audio throttle..normally when u unchecked the audio throttle with frame limit at off,the game would go like crazy...

somehow with the new settings + tick the option "lock threads to core" will give 3-5 FPS during the mission where the area were crowded with jagia..

mine goes from 22-23 to 24-27...noticable ain't it??

well, i hope this post would make a great benefit...who knows someone might solve this FPS issue on the game,hehehehe

even the english demo runs good. for somereason the actual english version just runs like turd. I get dips down to 15 fps when theres alotta jaggi on screen, yet with the jap version or demo, it holds near 30. wish i knew more about this stuff to figure out why.

unfortuntaly i must have tried every option through dolph to get speed gains, and i've exausted that area to my knowledge. seems like it has to be something with how the english version was put together conflicting with my computer setup in some way. I have the hardware power, due to the jap version running well, so thats outta the book. even running it with newer emulator version and chaning the system language doesn't provide any speed increase.

i'm gonna try windows 7 64 bit when i get a chance, but i'm about ready to just cash in and play the translated jap version

i run it with decent speed when there are many monsters in one map.But sometimes fps drop only 2-3 no proplem it'smooth
i enable Dual Core and Framelimit > auto , Throttle audio: disable . I used 4830 x64 that give me more fps than 4830x32 about 4-7 fps in Windows 7 x64

have you done mission when we had to hunt a pack of jagia??in area 6 there's more than 5 monsters...my FPS drops from 30-31 to 23-25..when i manage to kil 2-4 monsters,the FPS rose up again to nearly normal...

i used the same settings as yours...any idea??
