When I start the game, zoid versus 3 or zoids battle legends, the fps are in the high 50s and the audio is working correctly. As soon as the start screen pops up the fps drop to the 20s and its keeps repeating the last thing said. Any help with this would be appreciated.

using windows vista 32 bit

processor: amd athlon™ 64 x2 dual core processor 4400+ 2.30 ghz
ram: 4 gb

^ This. You look new to emulation, so I will say: Just because it renders a completely black screen at full speed it doesn't mean it'll render something else at full speed. More stuff to render = slower it gets.

it wasn't a completely black screen the intro video is fine. It is when I get to the start screen it starts doing it. If i turn down the frames to 60 it works somewhat but the sound is still off. If the computer is too slow that is fine but I was looking at what dolphin needs and it looked like i was slightly above that. what would be the base requirements for it to run properly.
disabling dtk music helped it a lot, I don't hear the voices just the background music but it sped up. thanks for that is there anything else I could do to speed it up. thanks for that

Your CPU is too old , GPU is too weak

You should really take the time to search around and find some info about Dolphin. You'll find that you need both a modern CPU and GPU to play Dolphin adequately. Have a look at the wiki entry for Zoids: Battle Legends, and you'll see that you need a pretty powerful computer. If your GPU has GDDR3, it'll handle 1x IR fine, but nothing more than 2x IR, probably wouldn't be able to take much anti-aliasing though, but I'm just guessing.

Actually he might be talking about sound issues in Zoids games. If so skid should've solved this in 3.0-600
