I know this issue comes up a lot but I have an issue that has been unexplained. First off when I use 1-4 gba's my frame rates drop down to 40-50 which makes it all choppy. The second issue is when I play randomly one of the Vba's will crash momentarily bringing the game back to the main menu. Anyone there with same issues? Maybe some solutions? Thanks.

it means your computer is too weak to run all 4 instances of VBA as well as dolphin at the same time.

Iam having the same problem and i dont think it's too weak (havin i5 3,3 and just 70% CPU usage with dolphin and all 4 running). What i figures out is, leave the speed settings to standard. Link Options try adding a 0 to the millisecond number and make the VBA-M threads to realtime so they wont loose connections (or so i hope). Still one of them seems to shortly crash and wont recover. Would be nice to have like 4 GBAS emulated into one program so just one connections needs to be active or smth.

Only the joybus options (i.e. just an IP address and enable/disable) have any effect.
If it's too slow, you can try unthrottling vba-m (holding space bar by default, iirc there is a menu option to turn off throttling). 04-02-2011, 03:17 AM
spacebar is turbo, throttling is something else entirely which doesn't really work too well.
disable audio sync and enable frameskipping and see if that helps (never have those 2 settings enabled, it produces hitching) |
