yes, but why stretch it? just use your own resolution, it doesnt stretch it... infact, it uses the additional pixels to render it even more, so you will get even better visuals.

what? it has to strech the 4:3 aspect ratio to fit the screen, each individual pixel isnt stretched but the picture is

I have no clue what you are talking about. I have never had an issue with stuff being stretched. It simply uses my aspect ratio when i use my resolution, and the additional pixels are used for more detailing.

Increasing resolution for 3d objects isn't stretching, also if you are offended by the 2d streching, you can always create widescreen high-res textures for them.

prism, that is reffering to me or lukestir? Cause you are restating what I said... i think.
#2, if you are using this increased FOV hack, the remaining pixels that would normally be used in detailing would be used for more fov. Meaning that you cannot increase the textures without decreasing the fov. 08-31-2009, 06:27 AM

i dont understand how (i am not talking about this hack) when you go from 4:3 to 16:9 it makes the screen wider without streching it.
i may be wrong, but it looks rather streched to me 08-31-2009, 06:58 AM
hmm, then why are none of the games i play stretched, even though i use a 16:9 aspect ratio?
zelda WW and Pikmin. are those two games that support it? and i simply lucked out? 08-31-2009, 07:41 AM
could you post screenshots of different resolutions in those games without streching?
