Hello, I've recently tried using Dolphin to play my games on my laptop. I have the Nvidia GT 650m, which I gather should be plenty to run most games in at least the default IR and extra settings. However, my laptop is also equipped with an Intel GMA 4000 video processor for Optimus battery savings. Normally, this poses no problem. Unfortunately, when running Dolphin, even after changing the default GPU to the 650 in the Nvidia control panel, the program forces the use of the Intel card instead. Is there any way of getting around this? I am using the most recent stable version of Dolphin 3.5.

Force it to use the Nvidia GPU in the driver settings. Dolphin can't reliably tell which GPU it's using before it starts using it, AFAIK, so ignore what it says in Dolphin's graphics options.

I changed it from the default Intel device to my Nvidia GPU. The results were that when opening Dolphin for the first time, the graphics options would show the dedicated card, but not use it in play. Also, after playing one round the card would switch back to the Intel. 03-25-2013, 09:48 AM
Download Nvidia Inspector . Run Dolphin and check GPU load with that program
If GPU load = 0% -> Intel HD 4000 is used Laptop: (Show Spoiler)
Mini PC :: (Show Spoiler)
