Faster CPU speed results in faster emulation. So feel free to go for it, if it still fits in your thermal budget (unlikely).

hello like degasus said many times here in the forum mobile devices gpu driver are the most part to stop you because they are not as good as they could. The best Android device is the Shield TV with good gpu driver but cpu bottleneck and sadly you cant Overclock the Cpu yet. But it is not a mobile device. My best experience is with underclocking dolphin 50% and some other hacks like sound stretching and gpu texture decoding...that work for me and my device the best

But thank you for the info you provided reguardless. 04-27-2017, 05:00 AM
In fact underclocking device CPU might get more benefits than overclocking. In theory it should get you more thermal headroom and tolerate DVFS this could lead to a higher average CPU performance, e.g. lower core freq > less thermal throttling > higher average freq sustained performance

But thank you for the info you provided reguardless. hello i know what you were referring to....sorry for beeing so vague...to answer your question correct...yes dolphin and your phone will run faster if you overclock...thats a fact....but as i said before the benefits are so little because of battery drain, heating issues, throtteling and of course the damage you could do to your device...and overclocking would never fix the driver issues from your SoC manufactor...so yeah try it and see for yourself. thats why i tould you from my experiences its better to underclock dolphin and perhaps a littlebit more juice from cpu and gpu...who knows? you asked only for the rooted devices... i have a rooted Shield TV Pro 2015 and that device is today the best way to enjoy some dolphin spirit. Its by far not perfect because its at the end a low level device (for dolphin)....but nobody know your device so please share it with other users and we could help you better with more informations... thx |
