Flatpak not deteing input from DualShock 4

I installed Dolphin using the latest version of the flatpak from flathub on my Manjaro machine. For some reaso it's not detecting my DualShock 4 controlloer. I know that it's not a problem with the controllers or the usb ports or the cables because they work fine with other emulators and games. Is there any way of fixing this?

Is the problem that it's not detected in the controller mapping window, or that it's not detected in-game?

Both. I tried using my control keymappings that I had already to see if it would make it work in game but no luck
