As long as it connects to your computer it should just work
That program is the whole reason I bought my first wiimote (it's third party) I bought it even before I had a wii XD 01-20-2013, 04:50 AM

I've tried an original Nintendo Wiimote and... it happens the same!! The wiimote pairs in Windows, and when I press "Refresh" in the Wiimote dialog, it rumbles... but when I run a game (Wii party), no button pressing is sent to the game. I've tried WiinRemote, both with the original wiimote and with the third party one. With the original one, it says "Active" and then changes to "The device is not connected" (in Spanish "El dispositivo no está conectado"). With the third party, it says "No Wiimote detected". What am I doing wrong? 01-20-2013, 04:51 AM

I'm getting a feeling that this 3rd-party wiimote I bought is going to just work perfectly without Dolphin changes.. :|

If the problem is on my side, is that good or bad news? ;-) You were looking for a doesn't-work-test-case, so if it works, it's bad news... ;-) I cannot do it right now (probably tomorrow), but I will make a set of tests with the three BT dongles I have, the three BT stacks (MS, bluesolei and Toshiba), the two wiimotes (original and DX) and the two programs (dolphin and WiinRemote) and send a report here. Do we have a list of BT dongles known to work? At least a couple of them? (preferable from DX or Amazon so I can buy it online) 01-20-2013, 06:11 PM
Hi Guys,
I'm pretty new to Dolphin, but i have found that I can't get the Doctor Who Sonic Screwdriver Wiimote to connect properly. I have tried it on a few computers, and while it initially detects, it is greyed out in the devices panel. So if you are looking for a problematic one that doesn't cost much try this one: http://www.amazon.com/Ocean-Doctor-Screw...B00426BZV6 PS: I got my normal wiimote working, so I don't think it's me being a total tard. Oh yeah, and I will heart you forever if you know how to get this puppy working (01-20-2013, 06:11 PM)Gingasmite Wrote: Hi Guys, 01-26-2013, 05:43 AM
Ok, I have found a pattern. Excuse the delay in the answer, it is due to lots of testing until I found the pattern (and also lots of work that delayed my testing).
I think I have found a pattern!!! When I connect 1 Nintendo wiimote and 1 DX wiimote, they work! However, if I connect only the DX remote... it does not work! If I connect both, but the DX wiimote is found as number 1 (and original Nintendo as number 2) it again does not work! (I would bet that at least in one of the tests I was able to play with only the DX wiimote connected... but I am not really sure) Both wiimote are always detected by the bluetooth stack (I'm using Toshiba right now, since it came with my bt dongle) and the Wiimote dialong in Dolphin, both when they worked and when they didn't. The DX wiimote NEVER worked with wiinremote, if that gives a clue. This patterns happens both in my Windows 7 machine and in my old Windows XP machine. Hope this gives hints to solve it. |
