I want to buy a wiimote that doesn't work properly with Dolphin so I can make it work properly.
Help me buy a wiimote by telling me about your wiimote with issues.

Please reply with:
- your operating system(s) and bluetooth stack(s) used (e.g. Microsoft, Toshiba, BlueSoleil)
- dolphin version(s) used (make sure to at least test Dolphin 3.5)
- what exactly does not work? (does dolphin pair the wiimote? does the wiimote rumble? how close does it get to working)
- list any non-dolphin programs (e.g. WiinRemote) which DO work with the wiimote
- link to buy the non-working wiimote (preferably not an auction) (preferably shipped from USA)

Do not bother telling me about your obscure 3rd-party wiimote if you cannot tell me where to buy it!
I will delete irrelevant posts!

Well, you could try an official Wiimote with Motion Plus integrated (RVL-CNT-01-TR), there is a lot of people talking about pairing issues, some of them say that Toshiba stack fix the issues, some still have the issue with the Toshiba stack. In other words, I think nobody know if it works or no, should be a good start point.

From my tests, I managed to get one TR model working with the Toshiba stack 9.00.3 (T) on Windows 7 x64 and Dolphin 3.5. However, only works the first time, after that, if you try to connect it again (or to "repair" the wiimote) it get stuck in the "4 blinking LEDs" and does nothing more...

Also, these models are still broken in Linux and Mac, and from what I tested, GlovePIE 0.45 works fine with the TR models...
You can buy it on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-Wii-Remote-Plus-White/dp/B0094X227I/
Avell A70 MOB: Core i7-11800H, GeForce RTX 3060, 16 GB DDR4-3200, Windows 11 (Insider Preview)
ASRock Z97M OC Formula: Pentium G3258, GeForce GT 440, 16 GB DDR3-1600, Windows 10 (22H2)

My problem is: I cant use use toshiba stack and bluesoleil because of my BT hardware (a built in ASUS P8p67 Deluxe MoBo) i've tried some workarounds to install the stacks... but nothing works

-Windows 7 Ultimate X64 - Microsoft BT Driver
- 3.5 - 1.44
- dolphin pairs with the mote... it vibrates... when i'm in the game nothing works, its synched because there is no messages from the wii game informing that the wiimote is off but the buttons wont work
- there is NO non-dolphin software installed
- It's a Chinese one, it's a copy from the original same everything the only diference is that the box is entire in chinese, i've bought on a local seller, i'm from Brazil... i think that is these one, the images match perfectly

Third-party Wiimote do not have "Wii" text at the bottom
You might buy USB BT dongle to use Toshiba Stack (Toshiba & Bluesoleil don't like integrated BT)
OK, updates..... bought a USB BT... its ATHEROS.... plugged and installed Toshibas...... the wiimote is paired it vibrates,,, BUT i'm facing the same problem nothing works wimote is ok for the game its conected but the buttons wont work....
any suggestions?

am i so unlucky?? hahahaha Thanks!

You guys are not being helpful. :p
I cannot buy your obscure 3rd-party wiimote if you do not show me where to buy it!
And I will not buy the wiimote if you do not provide all the information I requested in my original post.

danielferratti seems to have been the only helpful one, but $30 is a little steep for an unofficial nunchuk/wiimote bundle.

I'm going to go ahead and delete all irrelevant posts.
Do not post unless you are showing me where to buy a wiimote or you are adding information to a previous post!

Billiard,

I have two of theses wiimotes: http://dx.com/p/remote-with-silicone-sleeve-nunchuck-controller-set-for-wii-red-nude-packed-2-x-aa-70791

They both perfectly work with a real Wii, but do not work with Dolphin. They pair with the PC, and using "Refresh" in the Wiimote dialog makes them rumble, but when running the game, nothing works. For example, no way to press A to continue the startup screen. I have been able to play with them twice, after lots of tryings, so whatever the problem is, it sometimes (randomly and sparsingly) works.

I have tried in Windows XP and Windows 7. I have tried with MS stack, Bluesolei and Toshiba trial. I have tried with three different bluetooth dongles. Always the same "no-work" result.

Send me a private message with your snail mail address and, if Dealextreme ships to your address, I will buy such a wiimote to be sent to you. Consider this a small contribution for your effort to solve it.

Thanks, I'm going to order one of these. You can compensate me via paypal after I fix it if you really want to.

Have you tried to use the wiimote with any other programs, like WiinRemote?

Hi!

whoooho!!! finally one is interrested in fixing 3rd party controller problems!

i have problems with this controller!
http://www.amazon.com/Wii-Motion-Starter-Pack--black-Nintendo/dp/B004IU6FMA/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&qid=1358499456&sr=8-11&keywords=snakebyte+wii

in Donkey Kong Country Returns... after a few secounds, the screen pops up saying "controller connection interupted,.."

in other games they are working (tested with: new super mario bros, wii sports resort, mario kart, mario galaxy)... how can that be?

I used a Nyko wand+ in this video:

I recommend registered brands for testing:
http://www.nyko.com/products/product-detail/?name=Wand%2B
http://www.amazon.com/Wii-Remote-Controller-Black-Nintendo/dp/B001LNN3CM

http://www.memorex.com/en-us/Gaming/Gaming-Accessories/Game-Controller-for-Wii/
ebay/chinese models may not comply to quality testing
