Fix item hang = No sound...??..??

I know there are other threads about this out there.
But not for the same reason.

I am playing Zelda, Wind Waker and it hangs pretty often after cutscenes.
As I was browsing the forum I learned that I should right click on the game in the main window, select patches och mark down the "Fix Item Hang".

Well...

By doing this I effectively destroy the sound in the game. All music disappears, all I can hear is footsteps and stuff like that. And it does not get better by undoing the "Fix Item Hang" so I had to download a new Dolphin, copy the memcard and so on.

Took me 3 times to rule out everything else and come to this conclusion.
Anyone who can help me? I want to be able to use the "Fix Item Hang" w/out sacrificeing all the music in the game.

Peace! Blush

I haven't had a Wind Waker freeze for a very long long time meaning Dolphin r3972 and I have never used the Fix Item Hang code/patch in my life.
If you got the proper hardware then use DSP LLE and you'll get no more troubles.

the point of that hack is to pass those black screens then you save the game as soon as you can, then reload the game with the patch disabled

you must use tons of quicksaves in this games
intel 3570k@4.4ghz, amd 270x, 8gb 1600, win10 x64, x360 pad, raid0 crucial m4 ssd 64gb, gigabyte z77x-ud3h, hyper212+

Black screens in windwaker are caused by desynching btw the audio and video threads, fix item hang seems to disable the audio to annul the problem of desynching, i think

Hmm you might be right about that Zee, but I can almost swear that I have read about that DSP LLE is the cure.
I really haven't had any issues with this game ever since I switched to it
