1. Go to c:\windows\inf and find the inf file that is for the YRT driver. On my system it was oem56.inf.

ADDED: 1.1 You can Search Windows/Inf for containing "YRT" Text inside, there will be only one file (for me it was oem69.inf)

2. Go into your bluetooth devices and remove any devices that are using the YRT driver.

3. Start a console window as administrator. There are a number of ways to do this. I have a console icon on my desktop so I just right mouse click over it and select run as administrator.

4. In the console window enter the following command: "pnputil -d oem56.inf" substituting the file you found in step 1. This should delete the YRT inf file and the driver out of the driver store. If it doesn't add an -f to the command to force the delete: "pnputil -f -d oem56.inf".

5. Once the inf and driver have been deleted go enter: "gpedit.msc" in the console window. Select "Computer Configuration" -> "Administrative Templates" -> "System" -> "Device Installation" adjust the last policy "Specify search order for device driver source location" to "Search Windows Update Last".

Hope this helps,

Just a few questions....

How do find the exact name of the driver? Im staring at blue tooth HID device properties ATM which is telling just about everything except the name -.-

AND by console do you just mean cmd?

the YRT driver causes no problems as it is nothing but a naming inf.

it uses the standard windows bluetooth driver.

False. I did what its says there and its all fine now. Its not just "naming" if you had that problem you would see it.

This solution help me and few of my friend so i post it here because alot of people have problem with drivers now

Aah, is this for the case that Windows Update uses some other driver for the bluetooth dongle than the normal Windows one? Because I also had this annoyance last time I set up Windows anew. I don't know anymore how I got rid of it but it was pretty annoying ^^

ha, this driver is a little bitch it seems.
however, there is no need to use pnputil, when you check the tick box "Delete drivers for this device" on the uninstall device prompt, it will remove the inf and FileRepository store, all thats left is to delete the bthbus.sys from the drivers folder (the inf for the device does not have an uninstall section to delete the .sys file).

you don't need to. open up device manager, remove Bluetooth HID driver from under System Devices with the "DELETE DRIVER SOFTWARE FOR THIS DEVICE" box checked.
