Hi guys, i would like to install Dolphin in order to play Gamecube and Wii games. I still have my original nunchuck for Wii and I bought some years ago the Mayflash toolbar for Wii.  Now, some questions:

1) do you suggest to install the last stable Dolphin version or the last Development version (currently 5.0.6339)?

2) I tried to update the Mayflash toolbar but i don't know it it is necessary. I downloaded the latest fw (http://www.mayflash.com/Support/Download/   I mean "W010 Wireless Sensor DolphinBar MAYFLASH DolphinBar Upgrade Firmware Ver04"), following the instructions manual. But when I push the UPDATE button, it appears a pop up that says " It's a different product, the firmware is not matched, Cant update it!". Why? It is an original mayflash toolbar...perhaps it is already updated?

3) I syncronized the toolbar with the nunchuck: is it normal that both the 1st and the 2nd led of the nunchuck are lit?

4) Everytime I turn off the toolbar and the nucnhuck, is it necessary to re-syncronize them when I run the Dolphin emulator?

5) When I want to update the Dolphin to a new version, ho can I do in order to avoid to loose all my settings?

thank you!

The latest development version.

No, that sounds very strange. Nunchuks don't have any LEDs. Do you mean Wii Remote rather than Nunchuk?

You don't have to do anything in particular, because the settings are stored in Documents rather than the install folder.

1) ok! I read about the Ishiiruka version too. Do you suggest it?

3) Yes, I mean the Wii remote controller. The 1st time I syncornized them there was only the 1st led, but after some test (turn off / turn on the tool bar in order to try to update it), now I have the 1st and 2nd led lit...

5) ah perfect. So at every update, I simply overwrite all the files of the new version on the older version files?

1- While Ishiiruka has some interesting options not included in latest master, it´s not officially supported. Any issue you find with it, you´ll have to report it to its own thread.
Rig 1: Windows 10 Home | AMD A6-1450 @ 600/1000/1400 MHz | AMD Radeon HD Graphics 8250 | 4GB RAM | HP Pavilion TouchSmart 11.

Rig 2: Windows 10 Pro | Intel Core i7-2640M @ 780/2800/3500 MHz | Intel HD 3000 Mobile | 8GB RAM | Dell Latitude 6320.

Can't do much for 2 or 3, but from what I understand, having to resynchronize the wii remotes every time depends on what bluetooth adapter you're using, and has almost nothing to do with Dolphin itself (though I could be wrong and the devs would know better than I). I don't know if the DolphinBar supports remembering pairings..

Like JosJuice said, there's nothing that you need to do to save your settings. Dolphin stores all the settings in a common folder (C:/Users/%username%/Documents/Dolphin or something similar to that). Installing a stable version doesn't actually change this folder at all, it just creates it if it doesn't exist. And downloading and unzipping a dev version won't touch that folder either, so all your settings will stay intact, even between different versions of Dolphin! One thing that you might need to watch out for is that if you're using multiple different versions of Dolphin at the same time, they'll all use the same common settings files, which could cause problems if settings change between versions. If you want to avoid this, or just want Dolphin to be all contained in one folder anyway, you can install/unzip a new version of Dolphin and then create a file called portable.txt in the same folder as the executable, which will make it so that Dolphin only uses files from the folder that it's in (and folders within that folder of course)

ok, it's clear thanks.
If I use a development version, when i want to update it, I only need to overwrite all the files of the current version with the files of the new zip pack. That's all, correct?

You should extract the new files into an empty folder, not overwrite an existing version.
