Hi everyone. I was recently testing out the progress made with Wind Waker and am really impressed.
However, I noticed that something is bottlenecking my framerate. I usually get 16-21 FPS (average about 18), however it doesn't seem to be dependent on resolution, most settings, renderer, etc.
I started with the configuration at www.dolphin-emu.org/performance.html and got those speeds. I get the same framerate if the resolution is 640x480 or 1920x1200 (which looks great by the way). I get the same framerate if I change between direct3d9 and opengl renderers. I get the same framerate if I enable EFB Copy to Texture or RAM or if I enable/disable the framelimit or audio throttle.
I doubt my RAM is holding me back (see below) and since I see no change with resolution, can I rule out my graphics card as well? Any thoughts are appreciated.
My system is as follows:
1.8Ghz Dual-core Opteron 1210 (roughly equivalent to an Athlon64 X2 3800+ or 4000+)
4GB DDR2-667
ATI All-in-Wonder HD (basically a Radeon 3650)
I'm mildly considering upgrading a couple things right now. Any ideas what I is bottlenecking here?
