Final Fantasy CC black screen

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles(GC) starts up aparently good, all menus working and nice song. But when i hit new game, after i choose "single player game" the game goes to a black screen that lasts forever. Is this normal?? has any1 manage to emulate this game??, thanks
