Feature Request Thread

I posted this elsewhere without realizing this thread existed, but I would like a pointer calibration option.
Ideally something like the calibration in some (sadly not enough) shooter games but even manual with some shortcut keys to move would be nice.
OS: Windows 7 x64
CPU: Intel i5-3570K 3.4GHz GPU: AMD Radeon R9 270X RAM: 8GB DDR3
More command-line switches, useful for benchmarking and other things:
/n , --no_gui = Start Dolphin without the Wx/Qt UI (browser) and CLI wndow. Effective when used together with /e /s, --snap_on_exit = auto-save a screenshot when exiting with the "Esc" key. Effective when used together with /b FR list updated: https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-fe...#pid344946
Is it feasible to allow changing of graphics/emulation setting while a game is already running? PCSX2 lets you do this and I'm just wondering if dolphin could do the same. I like to mess with settings a lot, so it's kind of annoying having to quit and restart emulation any time I want to change anything.
edit - whoops, I guess you can. This whole time I assumed you couldn't because fullscreen resolution is greyed out and I didn't look any further. Never mind. 01-15-2015, 08:28 AM
Most settings can be changed at any time, but certain ones can't easily be made switchable during emulation, so they're just disabled.

* Adjustable Framerate: Make a setting that allows us to play 60 FPS games on 45 FPS or 30 FPS (not talking about the CPU Clock Override function)
-This would drastically improve the playability of resource intense games like Metroid
OS: Win Server 2012 x64 (W8.1 x64)
CPU: AMD FX-8350 @ 4,0 GHz GPU: AMD HD7970 RAM: 32GB DDR3-1600 Kingston HyperX Build: 5.0 - Most Current Dev Build
I don't think such a thing is physically possible without very invasive modifications to the individual games' engines.

You can set the framelimit under Config to 45 or 30 if you want to play in slow motion. Making a game that was designed to play at 60 fps on the real hardware run at lower fps will only slow it down, not drop frames and still run fullspeed.
Also, grab the latest dev build from here to get the best speed: https://dolphin-emu.org/download/ (01-19-2015, 03:31 AM)XorUnison Wrote: * Adjustable Framerate: Make a setting that allows us to play 60 FPS games on 45 FPS or 30 FPS (not talking about the CPU Clock Override function) No it wouldn't. The performance gain would be quite minimal. |
