I have searched the forum but I couldn't find a thread which is not outdated so I will post it here...
Guys, please direct me to the right place if I'm doing something wrong. I'm a newb.

There seems to be a lot of problems using nVidia 3D vision in Dolphin.

1. Full screen has to be used.
2. Dolphin won't accept keyboard controls except hotkeys to change 3D settings.
(no general hotkeys, no esc, meaning no quick save/load and Dolphin has to be crashed to exit, etc).
3. Mouse cursor won't hide no matter how you change the config.
4. Can be used only in DX9.

All of the above is FAQs you see on most 3D vision related threads. And answers to them are always "search the forum."
My question is, are any of the developpers currently working on fixing 3D vision related problems?
Above bugs has not been fixed for quite some time now...
How can I know about who is working on fixing which bugs and/or new features?

Being able to play Wii/GC games on 3D vision is the biggest reason for me to use this frequently crashing emulator.
Games such as F-zero GX, Metroid Prime series and Fatal Frame are astonishing in 3D vision.
I'd like to know if any of the bugs I mentioned above are at least considered to be fixed by somebody.

Posting that in the 3d vision patch thread would've been fine, but nevermind.

3D Vision has been added by a developer who is not part of the core Dolphin developer team. No one else but him is/was working on that feature, so any fixes are highly dependent on him looking into any outstanding issues. As far as I can tell, he's not working on that stuff anymore though and any outstanding issues are likely not our fault, but a problem with the actual 3d vision implementation in the GPU driver.

Any possible way to add 3d model ripping when playing a game? Each model would be ripped correctly with bones intact etc. Each model could be ported to maya or obj , and named correctly, so if the dev named a model "prop_rock_01", that is how the model would be named on your computer.

If this is possible, please make a option where each model can have its own folder with the textures for the model and the model itself in that folder.

For a few games, you can rip 3d models with Wiiscrubber, and I think that's how people edit characters in brawl (e.g. add Iron Man). Unfortunately, I recon it would be somewhat complex to dump 3D models while emulating a game.

It's not impossible to dump 3d models via Dolphin itself, but no one of the active devs is going to implement that anytime soon. Plus, it wouldn't be particularly beginner friendly..

theoneman, do you know C++? Maybe if you could start some of the work yourself, the devs could potentially be persuaded to finish it more easily.

Hey.

I'm trying to setup New Super Mario Bros with a 360 controller. I noticed that using tilt is an issue since you have to hold tilt active with a keybind; or it reverts back to its default position. This makes it rather hard to control with a stardard controller, obviously, because part of your hand it occupied holding tilt. Like with the moveable bars in NSMB.

So why not simply add a 'tilt lock' function to Dolphin? You could, as an example, move the moveable bars with the tilt function in NSMB with the 360 controller's stick and then press the stick down to lock the tilt in its current position; you could click it again to unlock it.

Wouldn't that be a rather simple solution? It would probably also be useful in other Wii games, no?

Cheers

Not a bad idea. Either that, or have an option for it not to zero upon release.

Small issue: when going to configure controls the menu shows up then disappears completely - if I click another tab and then go back then it is back. Not a big deal but it still is annoying after a while.
