I have a suggestion.

Associate Dolphin with .gcm, .gcz or .iso files (as an optional feature disabled by default) would be cool. Not a priority I know, but I did some file icons on Photoshop. Here:

Normal file:

Now, pay attention that Adobe's InDesign is able to differentiate (directly from Explorer, not from inside the program) files created with different versions of the program and display appropriated icons for legacy and recent files. Don't know if it'll ever be possible on Dolphin, but anyway I tried to make platform specific icons thinking how it would be if Dolphin could have the same ability of InDesign and differentiate GCN from Wii dumps:

And one last thing.

I noticed that months ago, the OS X icon was updated to a higher resolution made by the same artist that made the logo we all know.

I managed to extract the icon from the updated SVN's .icns. Here, on PNG:

The devs could add this new image size on the Windows icon. Smile If anyone want the icon with all resolutions plus this one, just ask.

Well, that's all. Not urgent things, but nice little ideas to the GUI that would give Dolphin a more professional touch I guess (not talking about my icons, lol Tongue).

- Cubic and/or 6-point Hermite sound interpolation for better sound quality [as in PCSX2].

(6-point Hermite is very effective in reducing (masking) pops and crackles)

let dolphin automaticly run on the last 2 cores of the CPU if there are more than 2 cores.
The 1st core is mostly busy with system/user-applications, but cores 2-4 are most of the time idleing.
I can always do that with the taskmanager, but it would be sweet to see that automated Wink

there should be in the options a selection box for copying a GC game to the RAM totally before running to help with HD bandwidth issues. I have 6GB ram so a second one for 4.4GB Wii games would also be cool so we all wont have to use a ram-drive for more convenience.

do devs even read this?!?

anyway, n64 emulation. yes, i know pj64, but they have almost, completely stopped. with many devs working on gc and wii. why not perfect n64? there are many games i still play on n64 which have bugs. plus the graphics plugin is directx 8 (i think). so why not build a dx9/10/11/opengl or something.

pj64 is still one of the best emulators and is also the second most downloaded on emulator-zone.com

so why not?

Well, the developers of pj64= Zilmar and Jabo, I don't think they are involved with Dolphin in any way. Wrong forum, dude...

I meant why don't the devs on dolphin create a sound and video plugin compatible with pj64.
