Make Dolphin load User\Wii\title\00000001\00000002\content\title.tmd through CLI and it'll launch Wii Menu...

Request: Can we please have the OPTION to Load Game Data in Netplay again? Maybe like a Check Box that is off by default?

Why?: I've been using dolphin-master-4.0-6492-x64 to play Dokapon Kingdom with friends via NetPlay. We had tremendous success playing it on this build because we could load Wii Game Data. However, I was always hosting. For unknown reasons, after a game I can no longer run build 4.0-6492. Nor can I load any other builds between 3000 and 7000. But I can load the latest builds just fine.

Because of this, I request the ability to Load Game Data once again so I can continue playing this game with my friends. I have no idea why I am permanently locked out of the older builds.

We had no problems with Dysncs, we made sure all versions of the build were the same, all settings the same, and everything. We did just fine. If players want to continue to have the option to Load Game Data, I request it should be something they choose to do. Not have the choice made for them.

I'd really appreciate having a hotkey toggle for the wireframe mode. I'm finding the ability to see the exact geometry being rendered by the game to be really useful in studying how the game works. A couple examples off the top of my head: right now I'm studying the fluid simulation in Metroid Prime, and the fluid geometry changes resolution depending on whether there's any activity in the simulation. The wireframe mode lets me see the exact geometry it's using on any given frame. It's also useful for watching how particle effects are being rendered, and it lets me see the game's occlusion culling at work (which would normally be completely invisible).

However, right now you have to go back to the main window, open the graphics menu, navigate to to the Advanced tab, and click the checkbox to toggle the wireframe on or off, and this really hampers its usability, both because it's tedious and because being able to quickly switch between the wireframe and the normal view lets me more easily associate the wireframe geometry with what's actually going on in the game. A hotkey would solve this problem easily.

Relatedly there's also another problem with the wireframe mode that probably isn't a bug but annoying either way. Since it still renders the wireframe with the normal shaders, if the alpha fades out to 0 then the wire isn't visible anymore, which makes it impossible to see the geometry. It'd be handy if alpha/blend mode were forced to opaque in the wireframe mode to keep that from happening, or alternately the ability to just render everything with a flat opaque color. (example)

Well, it might be helpful to troubleshoot that issue first. Can you give me some more information? What happens when you try to load Dolphin? Error message? Nothing happens? Does your friend also have this issue?

Is there plans to enable extra sorting options for our library? I find it would be useful to enable or disable certain custom keywords. In example...

If i'd like to not see racing games, i can uncheck my custom label and games marked with that will be hidden from my library. Currently i think the only way to do this is to make a folder in dolphin, and disable that folder when i don't want to see these games. I'd also like to sort by series, in example... Mario Party series. Maybe another use could be making a category for favorite games, or games yet to be beaten... The ability to make a category can be used for many purposes.


What kind of development coding/time would it take to implement something like this?

Request: make IR playable with gamepad axis, gamepad axis have 2 functions > 1.going slow. and that actually works but its just too hard to do it.

can you make option for gamepad to use only IR number 1. or some sort of fix for it that makes IR playable with gamepad?

I have a request I'm not 100% you will agree belong in the emulator. But here goes.

I store games on a secondary drive than the OS. Power saving features makes it so this disc stays off usually. So when Dolphin starts a game, the disc is powered on.

An issue occurs after I've played a game, as many of the files of the game will be cached in RAM. If I start the game a while later, the cached files will be used when the game starts. However, when the game needs additional files, it will be paused for a few seconds for the disc to boot up. This is solvable by disabling disc power saving, but then you have to disable a feature to gain this improvement.

So the request is for Dolphin to check if the game is on a switched off drive, and make sure it gets poked and awakened when the game is booted, rather than in the middle of playing the game.
