Hi there! I was wondering if it's possible to have an option in dolphin where we could disable and enable shadows. I'm guessing that shadows in games are responsible for some slowdowns that we encounter if our system is not one of those "current" great ones.

Thanks in advance if this is even possibleBig Grin

This wouldn't be feasible, and the difference if any would be negligible considering that isn't what is bottlenecking performance, this isn't like a PC game where disabling shadows etc.. would give a decent speedup. Currently the developers are looking into fixing bottlenecks with GPU emulation, so keep an eye on this issue for the time being:

would be good for Mario Power Tennis, though, cuz there the glitchy shadows are really annoying -_- better to fix 'em though Wink

They will eventually..

Just like with AFC currently being worked on as well as GPU emulation bottlenecks, it will only be a matter of time before other things are fixed as well. Once the two biggest issues (music looping and GPU emulation bottlenecks) are out of the way, the other things shouldn't be too difficult to tackle.
