With Dolphin now having direct motion input and being able to read the input from UDP servers, I was wondering what the consensus was on adding a feature to automatically detect the basic Accelerometer and Gryo inputs? They are a little bit of a pain to map since you actually have to scroll through the list with every one unlike other inputs.
There are 3 ways I could see this being better
I haven't looked at Dolphins source code yet so I don't know exactly how hard this would be to do, but as a programmer myself, if it's something that most people agree should be added I wouldn't mind giving it a try myself (after a bug fix or two to get to know the code better that is).
So what does everybody think?

- Make it like all other inputs, where you click it and then fire the input to autodetect. This would be difficult as motion inputs tend to be all over the place, and we would probable end up detecting the wrong one.
- Auto map based on popular controller types. This has the downside of having to manually enter in popular profiles, as well as checking some kind of controller ID to make sure it matches up.
- Auto map based on input text strings IE: 'Gryo Roll X-' is pretty standard naming, and could easily just be auto-mapped to the correct input.
