Hey all, was wondering if it's possible to even get the Xbox 360 controller working through the emulator for Fatal Frame 4.

Here are my settings-

Thanks if any help can be provided. I'm on Dolphin 5.0-8138.

Edit-

Had to configure the emulated Wii Remote for it to work.

You need to map wiimote and nunchuk on your 360 controller in order to play Fatal Frame 4. It wont work with game Cube controller. For this game i'm using old version of Dolphin - v3.0-409 as on never versions have black screen bug.

My config:

You will also need to switch to mouse and kb few times during the game - in order to play piano sequences. it is almost impossibile to do it with controller:

Hope i helped you Smile

You're wrong about Dolphin 5.0 and newer having a blackscreen bug, the game you most probably downloaded is improperly hacked and would hang on a Wii as well due to the improper region. The problem is the hack was designed for old versions of Dolphin and relies on emulation bugs. Of course, no one gives a shit about accuracy and just calls it a Dolphin bug.

You don't need to be ugly...

Most probably i have copy imported from Japan. Applied fan translation myself. I absolutely love series, have all Fatal Frame copies GENUINE. Using Dolphin for this one and Fatal Frame2 only.
Didn't say Dolphin bug, i said black screen bug...

It is also possible to get the problem with the black screen if you've applied the patch yourself. It depends on what method you used for applying the path. Could you provide a link to the instructions you used for applying the patch, if any?

If you want a quick fix for the problem, try opening the ISO in a hex editor and changing the byte at 0x4E003 to 0.

Hell, it was 6-7 (if not more) years ago. Don't remember what exactly i used for it. I used patch downloaded from http://www.fatalframe4.net and followed their instructions.

Oh, thanks for solution tip, will do it later.
Much obliged

Edit:
I remember, i used Wii Scrubber to do it Big Grin

The flash light and camera controls work off the tilt controls in the Wii-mote config, I have set them to the right thumb stick it's a bit sensitive but it works.
