Faster Melee - weird netplay connection problem

So i've recently gotten some of my friends into netplay for Melee and while I can normally play with 90% of people and connect fine, my two friends in the same city I can't connect to.
They can connect to each other, we can even connect to a fourth person and and all play fine.
The strange part is when I enter (via traversal or even direct connection) I connect fine but the ping is stuck at 32 or whatever it is when I first enter. Eventually after about 30 seconds it exits me from the lobby with lost connection.

I've tried:
-Port forwarding
All same version
New melee.iso
fresh dolphin download
firewall
anti virus
Direct connection


No luck so far, it's strange because i thought it was just them but because they can connect to each other it's a little strange. One thing to note is we're all with the same ISP and same city.

Side note i'm on Faster Melee dolphin 5.03

We don't support non-standard dolphin builds here.

We do not support forks - especially that hackfest! Ask them for support, or just use Dolphin's latest dev builds.
