Hi there. I'm running on Windows 10 x64 and recently had Microsoft "coerce" me into installing a major update (a bit before Christmas). That update happened to break a lot of my applications and programs, including Dolphin, with various forms of "MS Visual C++ Runtime is missing" (various versions).
In most cases, I was able to fix the specific program by reinstalling the version of the MSVC runtime it wanted. In Dolphin's case, however, I couldn't fix it just by installing MSVC, which is what your FAQ recommends. I had to actually go into "Add/Remove Programs" and find the MSVC++ 15 Runtime Library (already installed), launch it, and tell it to repair itself. Once I did that, Dolphin started working again.
Your FAQ currently reads:
I would recommend adding this note:
Thanks.

Quote:Dolphin now uses Visual Studio C++ 2015 for Windows compiling, Windows users must have the 64-bit Visual C++ redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 installed in order to use development builds. The runtime has a minimum system requirement of Windows Vista SP2 and Windows 7 SP1.
I would recommend adding this note:
Quote:If the runtime library says that it is already installed or otherwise cannot run, go to Add/Remove Programs (in Windows 10: Programs and Features, accessed from the Apps control panel) and locate the "Microsoft Visual Studio C++ 2015 Runtime Library (x64)" entry. Double-click on this entry, click "Next", then click "Repair" when given the option. This will reinstall the library and repair any registry entries that are preventing it from working.
Thanks.
