dolphin currently doesn't build with ffmpeg newer than a certain version (not sure which version)

It's a known issue logged on the tracker though.

It's a known issue logged on the tracker though.

so I pulled the code to fix this issue in this ticket https://bugs.dolphin-emu.org/issues/10644 but, I'm still running into issues building. Is the error i'm getting still a ffmpeg issue?
