Facing problems using the wiimote

Hello everyone. So, I've finally started using Dolphin today. The first game I'm starting with is Skyward Sword, and I'm facing some problems unfortunately. For the controller, I'm using a real Wiimote with Wii Motion +, and I have no problem connecting the Wiimote to my PC. I'm also using the standard Wii sensor bar, which I'm currently connecting to my Wii U for power. Problem is, after launching the game, I can't see the cursor that you see when using motion controls (the hand I guess). I can use the buttons on the controller just fine, but there is no "cursor", meaning that the motion controls themselves are not working. I wondered if maybe my sensor bar is broken, but I tested it with my Wii U in the same position I'm using it with Dolphin, and it works absolutely fine with the Wii U.

Any ideas? I'm still new to all of this, so I apologize if I'm doing something stupid. I tried to look the problem up, but I've yet to find a solution.

Is the Wii U in the same state when you're testing using the Wii U as when you're testing using Dolphin? Wii Us can turn the sensor bar off if the currently running software doesn't use the sensor bar or no Wiimotes are connected. I think it always will be on if you run the Wii U in Wii mode.

Aha I had no idea. I'll test it it and see what happens.

Edit: Yep, that did it, thanks!
