Saw a number of the HD texture packs for a few wii games that people have made, but none of the threads i went through mention how they go about starting that...

So i was curious what people are using to extract the texture packs from wii games? Is there anything that works for all games or do they each have their own compression and data packing types?

If anyone could help me with that part, i'd love to help with the actual uprezing. I'm good with images... not so much code >.>

To make a texture pack you go to GFX > advanced > dump textures (note: I THINK you must play the whole game in order to dump them all Big Grin) the you can make your own textures and rename them to what the old ones were and *put them somewhere I can't remember* and go back to GFX > advanced, but then select "Load custom textures" and poof! It should work Big Grin
Note: I claim to have NEVER made a texture pack before so...Big Grin

You put them in User/Load/Textures with the same name, and if you check Load Textures they should load.

any cheats or commands to make the game just run though everything so it dumps it all, or do you really have to play through everything to get all textures out?

It totally depends on the game. Some load more of the world at once, but yeah, probably you'd have to play the whole game. I suggest starting at a simple location first.
