What does this do differently than the recommended one? I notice I get better and more stable frame rates when I use it.

The JITIL recompiler uses an intermediate language so that code is not decompiled directly to C++ (a middle step is introduced). As for performance, it varies depending on the os and game, it will either be slightly faster or slightly slower than regular jit. It's not recommended because it is less compatible/stable than regular jit (more bugs) and the performance difference isn't enough to justify that.

Well, I see a lot better frames and or more stable frames. No crashes or anything like that. I don't get why its an option if it doesn't show any difference? I know it works better since I went to w7 5 months ago. Well except WW now. I guess I'll just stick with the regular.

Try Mario Kart Double Dash, for example: Regular JIT is waaay faster. JITIL slows things down to a crawl.

But in Zelda: Twilight Princess, it's the opposite: JITIL is noticeably faster and smoother.

Zelda: Wind Waker has problems with JITIL: there's a high possibility that the emulator will suddenly crash without warning after an hour or two of gameplay. JIT doesn't have this problem.

JITIL runs best on a 64-bit operating system. Especially with AMD CPUs.

Never noticed Wind Waker crashing with JitIL, odd.
Anyways, JitIL allows for more optimization, due to its immediate language approach. Since it may vary based on your system, you just have to try it out.
