Hello everyone, I have just installed the Dolphin Emulator a couple of days ago. The first night while I played it did not crash once but the next day as I was about to continue playing super smash brothers melee, I could not finish an adventure with out it crashing. I have re-installed it several times, I have played around with the settings, looked at countless forum post but nothing seems to work.

If its any help the the video freezes and the sound loops like crazy when it happens, I have waited 30 minutes while it was frozen and it did not change at all.

I have just reinstalled it so my settings are the default, and my specs are on my profile. It would be much appreciated if I could have some help on getting rid of this problem.

You haven't overclocked your CPU?

Your CPU might be overheating. Check that out before trying to run Dolphin again otherwise your CPU might become permanently burnt out.

well I don't think that would be the problem, I am able to play battlefield 3 on high without it lagging or freezing at all, I have not over clocked it either.

Battlefield on high settings? That's cool. Too bad Dolphin isn't a PC game.

I can run Crysis at highest settings but not a game released in 2004?!
Running a game programmed for PC hardware is not the same as emulating a console system which is running a game. You have to realize that the overhead of emulating the environment greatly exceeds the actual game requirements. Also note that while PC games usually require a very powerful GPU and have merely moderate CPU requirements, Dolphin's performance is basically only limited by CPU speed. In fact, you won't actually be able to get any PC hardware that will be able to run every Wii game at full speed in Dolphin. Even some Gamecube games struggle on the highest-end hardware available to date.
Anyway, I advise you to read up a bit on how emulation works and what complications emulator authors are facing when trying to get games working.

So yeah, use RealTemp or CoreTemp and tell us what your temps are.
