Ill keep this short and simple ~

Im trying to replace the music files in Donkey Konga with custom songs . The game stores its music as .dsp files.

Using the Revolution SDK and its tool dspadpcm.exe , you are able to convert 16bit PCM .wav's to .dst that the game reads.

my problem is I can convert .wav files to .dsp correctly but when converting it the other way around, I get an error "ERROR: Cannot allocate output buffer!".

I know the Donkey Konga community is non existent, but this has been a project on mind ~ anyone have experience with using dspadpcm.exe ?

Much appreciated

I don't remember completely, but I feel like I read that Donkey Konga uses a stereo variant of DSPADPCM (usually .dsp files are mono). It's possible they made a little custom tool for making them and never released it as part of the SDK. I think https://hcs64.com/vgm_ripping.html has what you're looking for if you want to convert them back to .wav.

Also I'm not totally sure, but you're probably going to get banned for admitting to pirating the Wii SDK, so good luck with that.

Not going to happen since I don't have any evidence. Remember to quote stuff like this (or screenshot it of you're paranoid), or better yet just report it without telling people "you're gonna get banned because piracy". Otherwise, the OP just edits their post, and by the time I come here, it's your word against theirs.

The most I can do is close this on suspicion of piracy since you're a regular here and I definitely trust you. But strictly speaking, I only hand out bans if there's something I can personally see myself.
