the latest 9x drivers are something like 90.xx :|

unless you mean the 9 series which the latest driver is the same as the latest for the 200 series.

Since he's running the German 32bit Home premium version of Vista, I gave this link (http://www.nvidia.de/object/win7_winvista_32bit_186.18_whql_de.html) as the download for the latest version which is 186.18 for his 9600 GT.
