Enable/Disable DSP?

Is there a way to manually disable and reenable DSP? Im wondring how big of a performance increase we might get by playing the game silently

Games will not boot without the DSP.

...also, DSP isn't used only to process audio

But DSP will be emulated even with no sound backend, so, no speed gain (like OP wondered)

I know that, I was just letting him know he can disable sound that way
