Emulator hanging on open

I downloaded the emulator, installed, connected a remote.

Then I changed a couple of settings (no, I don't remember which), and enabled continuous scan, but now the emulator displays "not responding" immediately after launch.

I've tried rebooting/reinstalling.

Any tips?
