Ah, my mistake.
Yeah, that was a pretty pretentious blockade on emulation in that thread.
To be honest about 6 years ago I had the same misconception about emulators, and refused to touch them, different story now.

Lol, has anyone sent a takedown notice to the host for that site? Blatant scam sites shouldn't be allowed to stay online, somehow I doubt that site is hosted in pirate waters so it should be simple enough to get taken down..

One would think that members of the homebrew, emulation, and modding scene wouldn't be stupid enough to fall for such scams, maybe it's just that my expectations are too high.
