Emulating the Wii Motion Plus on new Dolphin versions

I want to emulate the Wii Motion Plus on a new version of Dolphin, but Motion Plus emulation is only supported on old Dolphin builds. Would it be possible to move some of the files from the old version to the new version to make this work?

You could possibly copy the wii motion plus emulation code from the old unofficial builds to your own custom build and update it, but with how long it has been and the vast changes since then... It would not be easy at all. And of course, you'd have to know how to edit source and build from source.
