Ive been trying to play Fast Draw Showdown with an actual Wiimote, but as an emulated Wiimote (so speaker noises come through pc speakers).  The problem I have found is that when it comes to holster your gun (aiming the wiimote downwards), it doesnt register it and keeps telling me to holster.

Ive tried changing the settings to hide the curser automatically, but that doesnt make a difference.  Tried increasing the YAW and Pitch too, but that didnt work either.

I think it may be something to do with tilt, but im not sure and wouldnt mind some advice.

Any thoughts on this?

I am not familiar with the game. What action does it expect of you?

I'm guessing all you need is "Tilt" "Forward".

It expects you to aim the controller downwards, so the target is off the screen.

Yes I agree, it needs to recognise the tilt of the Wiimote.  I did have a little go at this last night, as you can set the tilt axis in the config.  I put the forward and backward tilt on the Y axis, but it seemed to cause issues with the normal movement of the Wiimote, so Im guessing I must have done it a bit wrong.

Any tilt experts about?

Granted I am using the latest stable build; I will download the latest dev build this afternoon and see if that makes a difference.  It's definitely something to do with the downwards/upwards tilt.

Is there a specific way of setting the tilt to work properly with an actual Wiimote acting as an emulated Wiimote?

Full disclosure, the reason I am doing it like this is because I want the speaker sound of the Wiimote to come through my PC speakers!

Been messing aroud with tilt today and Im not having much luck with it as it moves around the screen so wildly.  Makes it pretty impossible to control.  Changed the tilt settings to Cursor Y+ etc...

Good news is that when i tested it out with Fast Draw Showdown it registered as being holstered.  Just need to tame it somehow to make it more usable.

Ok, so ive improved it by removing the "backwards" tilt. It's left me with 2 problems now. First is that when i tilt it down, when I get to a certain angle, it rapidly drops off the screen. So I need to increase or decrease the area it's working in I guess.

Second issue is that the pointer pauses every time I press a button, making quick firing impossible. Is that a setting I can change somewhere?

Yes. Tilting a Wii remote down points it below the screen. Isn't that what the game expects?

Yes it is.  It's just configuring it correctly.  Getting closer, but it's still not 100% right yet.
