When I play a Wii game on Android, the pointer only seems to work if I have the phone flat on a table, face-up. The pointer goes away if I'm holding it normally or face-down (like when I am lying down and holding it like a Switch). While it works with the screen while in a perfectly upright position, I was wondering if there is a way to recalibrate the emulated Wiimote so that it can work normally in other positions. I only tested SMG2, but I'm sure this will affect other motion based games ever moreso. I'm hoping to find the setting to recalibrate the position or remove the need for a specific position so that I can use the touch screen as the Wii pointer. Shaking my phone to spin was really, really cool, though!
My other, smaller issue is that the A button is fairly small. On Overlay Controls, there is an option to adjust all the buttons. I think it made the A button slightly bigger? But it is tied to every other button as well, which I would like to keep the same size. I noticed that my finger was missing it a few times and Mario didn't jump, but if I make it too large then using the digital control stick is quite hard (covers half the screen). Is there any way to make just the digital A button larger?
Thanks for any help you can give me, I switched from Apple to Android mostly for stuff like emulation or mods to games like PvZ. I'm excited to play some of my Wii games collecting dust in the attic on the go! (or in bed lol)
