Emulated Wiimote not working on Netplay.

For some reason when playing on Netplay, the emulated wiimote is not recognized. Neither my friends inputs nor mine are picked up and it behaves as if no controllers are connected. We're both using the first Wiimote slot, and he sets me as the 2nd player. The emulated wiimote works fine outside of Netplay. Any ideas?

It was implemented after 4.0, upgrade to something newer.
