Hi,

So i was wondering why it's not working for some games but for some it is? For example, when i'm playing Mario Kart Wii, the game registers my xinput controls but when i'm trying to play Super Mario Galaxy, it doesn't notice them. I go to configure and it shows that it reads it there, but not the game. Does anyone know what it might be?

Thank You,
Hawk

Are you sure that you've mapped your Xinput controller to an emulated Wii Remote and not a GameCube controller? Mario Kart Wii supports both, but Super Mario Galaxy only supports Wii Remotes.

Are you only allowed to use it for one of the two? I've mapped it for the Gamecube controller and the emulated Wii remote. I thought, depending on whether it is a Wii game or Gamecube game, it would use the correct one

That would depend on the game, can you post pictures of what controllers you have configured for what?

You can map your controller to both at once if you want to.

Okay, then that shouldn't be the problem. Can you post a screenshot of how you've mapped the emulated Wii Remote?

The Wii controllers will be automatically disabled for GameCube games, but GameCube controllers won't be disabled in Wii games. Wii games that don't support GameCube controllers will just ignore GameCube controllers, though. Really, the only problem is that some games that support both Wii controllers and GameCube controllers will act as if you're controlling two players at once, which is a totally different problem from the one that you're having.

Attached is how I've set up the emulated Wii remote.

Also since Super Mario Galaxy requires a Nunchuk, I set it up with the joysticks of the ps4 controller. I'm thinking that the Nunchuk would overwrite the configurations of the general options, and motion controls and IR, but i could be wrong

It won't overwrite anything. All of the Nunchuk controls are additions to the Wii Remote controls, not replacements.

Oh i must have taken the wrong screenshot, but the third screenshot i attached shows what it is when i have nunchuks on. I cleared the config because JosJuice said they're additions to the remote not replacements, but the start screen for Super Mario Galaxy says press A and B together and i do but nothing happens. Here's a screenshot of me pressing AB to show that it works in the configuration of the remote:

So i noticed that when i start any Wii game it will always say Wiimote 1 disconnected by emulator software. I'm thinking this might have something to do with why none of the buttons are registering in game? Attached are screenshots of how Mario Kart wii (which is the only game that i can play) looks. I'm guessing it looks like this because of what JosJuice said yesterday how wii supports both Gamecube and Wii remotes.
