Emulated Shake Problem

Here's one of my non-working gamepad configurations.
I've tried each shake axis assigned to different buttons, and also every wiimote movement in the list assigned to one of the analog sticks. I can do everything except shake. I'm using r7583. It would be nice to play this with a controller, as the novelty of the shaking quickly wears off. 07-16-2011, 11:11 AM
There are a few solutions. The easiest by far is to go get a wiimote and a blue tooth dongle. It works perfectly with a real wiimote, and you don't even have to bother with a sensor bar because the game doesn't use it.
Another option is to download a program that can record a wiimote movement and then play it back when you push whatever button you map it to. If you are willing to go through this, you most likely don't have a wiimote, but someone on another forum (I can't remember which one, but it shouldn't be too hard to find) has been kind enough to post a recording that works. Finally, you could wait for a developer to fix this. I think adding a way to adjust the force and frequency of the shake button would do it. You have to give the controller a good firm shake to do the ground pound. The axis of the shake may be a factor as well, because shaking in a SNL fashion doesn't seem to work very well. We might have to wait a while though, because there are plenty of games more broken than this. |
