I've been trying to figure out how to remap my controller for any GC games on my odroid N2+ using Emuelec 4.2. I was told that i needed to alter the file gcpadnew.ini, but though i tried different ways, i still can't get the emulator to register my remote to play anything. Has anyone figured out how to remap the remote, if so can you help?

I figured it out, so to all that are having the same issue. I just followed the mapping i created on es_input.cfg and followed the right path for the device, which looked like this:
