Editing Game Titles?

How does Dolphin determine the titles of the games?
I have a normal Mario Kart Wii image, a compressed image, and two custom-track-distributions, and I cannot tell them apart from the main interface, other than the lack of 4 stars. I tried changing the disk title using a Wii disk-image-name editor, and it didn't make any difference. I had to open the properties to see the new name, and it was pointless, as the Properties window already shows the name of the file.

if they all use the same titleid/save folder /user/wii/title/00010004/524D43[XX]/data it will not be possible to have different titles
for modified games, the titleid, and banner.bin need to be modified, title id to use a different save location, and banner.bin to have the new title that you want it to have

Hmmm... OK, I can (probably) do that too. But losing save file sync is (in my opinion) not really worth being able to tell the games apart.
