So, I used edit config for fire emblem radiant dawn to edit some gecko codes. I just copy and pasted the part that was xxxxxx and replaced that. I saved it. And, it deleted pretty much everything. Kept trying and trying and installing other versions and it happens again!
It worked fine a few days ago when I used 4.0 -2something. But then it doesn't work now after I uninstall and installed the 4.0.1 version. I installed the old version back to see if it would work, but it doesn't. I even tried putting my very old User folder from dolphin 3.5 to see if it would help, but it doesn't. I've tried from the latest SVN to the stable versions and stuff, but still same result. I let my niece played a game on my laptop yesterday for an hour and now I don't know what happened. She didn't mess with anything, just played with a game I downloaded before.
It worked fine before but now I can't save it! It just deletes the whole notepad data if I try to use edit config and save. I can download the codes from gecko, but when I use edit config to actually input the numbers for xxxxxx, and try to save, it just deletes all the data. I've been careful not to mess with anything else after I downloaded the gecko codes. I've searched for 4+ hours for solutions and tried so many things. I got a huge headache and so frustrated. Using Windows 7 Home Prem. Right now I have dolphin uninstalled and the dolphin emulator folder that is created in mydocuments that contains the config is deleted too. I didn't realize there was one until now, just thought there was the Users folder that is within dolphin. I install the folder again when I install dolphin but it doesn't help with anything.
PLEASE HELP ME PLEASE!

Also.. if there is a way to change the dolphin emulator folder that is defaulted at mydocuments, please help me with that too. And I would like to know the difference between that folder and the "Users" folder if possible.
