Fullscreen support is proper, what more else do you want? I actually like how it's done now and I'm sure many others do as well, your loss if you don't upgrade as you will be missing out on any new features, fixes and optimizations.
DX9 Plugin, no windowed resolution?
|
The three options ( Fullscreen, Render to main window and to a separate window ) are working fine
For Render to separate window you just need to resize the window to the res you want , but if that is not enough you can always change the Dolphin.ini Code: RenderWindowWidth = 1219 //Put whatever you want I think that the values are self-explanatory

What emulator can you think of that doesn't have a fullscreen option in the graphics plugin? Yes I know all I have to do is resize, but I would rather configure things myself than have the emulator do it for me. And how do you control render to main window vs. create new window?

I didn't get rid of it, the developers did and I'm sure they had a good reason. You can still select full screen mode and it should work the same as before. All this really does is change windowed mode and render to main, you should be able to resize and change the resolution on the fly now for windowed mode and possibly render to main, which is a very nice improvement over the old method.

The "Graphics Plugin" really should only have settings for graphics emulation. The selection of which graphics plugin should really be about wether you want OpenGL or DirectX, and the settings in there should be those settings related to that. Not for GUI settings like fullscreen. We should probably also move the fullscreen resolution settings to the general settings and not handle those in the plugin for that matter.

It is still my firm opinion that whoever came up with this idea should be shot in the head multiple times (unless it was ector, in that case I do not question my god). But since I can't do anything to change the devs minds lets just let the thread die please.
