DX12 fails to initialize

I'm using a laptop with a separate NVIDIA graphics card (I can already hear a dev saying "ugh, one of those things") and whenever I try to boot a game with the DX12 backend I get an error saying that DX12 failed to initialize, at which point I have to end Dolphin in the task manager as simply closing it does not remove the Dolphin.exe process. The GPU activity display thing shows that Dolphin is running on the NVIDIA card instead of the integrated graphics card, both on other working backends and the DX12 backend. I updated my graphics driver, thinking that I may have an outdated driver, and while I did, it is still giving me this error.

I'm hoping that I'm doing something wrong rather than it be a problem with Dolphin itself. Specs are in my user profile. GPU is Direct X 12 compatible, and I completed the move to Windows 10 yesterday.

Your GPU is not Direct X 12 compatible. Nvidia's website is wrong.

700 (kepler) and higher supports D3D12. Your card is a rebranded 500 series chip.

nvidia claimed they would support them eventually but they still haven't.

Well that's certainly annoying. Thanks though.
