I'm surprised the plugin already works as well as it does, usually it takes months for new plugins to get to this level of usability, well unless it shares a lot of code with DX9. Quite a few games are already working great, although there is still some issues that make it slower than the DX9 plugin and it crashes with some games.

Other than that, great job so far. Big Grin

*facepalm*

Let me make this real simple for you guys

ATI 2000, 3000, and 4000 series support dx10 but not dx11. Anything earlier will support neither.

ATI 5000 series support both dx10 and dx11.

Nvidia 8000, 9000, 100, 200, and 300 series support dx10 but not dx11. Anything earlier will support neither

Nvidia 400 series support both dx10 and dx11.

If the dx11 plugin works with dx10 cards then like some of you have suggested than either it isn't actually using dx11 or it's not using any of the new features that break backwards compatibility (nearly all of them). I'm guessing that this is going to work the same way it does with psx2 where the dx11 plugin serves as a placeholder and doesn't actually use dx11.

It's not THAT simple:

ATi Radeon HD 2x00 Series - DX 10.0
ATi Radeon HD 3100 - 3300 Series - DX 10.0
ATi Radeon HD 3400 - 3800 Series - DX 10.1
ATi Radeon HD 4000 Series - DX 10.1
ATi Radeon HD 5000 Series - DX 11

Nvidia Geforce 8000 Series - DX 10.0
Nvidia Geforce 9000 Series - DX 10.0
Nvidia Geforce 100 Series - DX 10.0
Nvidia Geforce 205 - GT 240 - DX 10.1
Nvidia Geforce GTS 240 - GTX 295 - DX 10.0
Nvidia Geforce 310 - GT 340 (except 330!) - DX 10.1
Nvidia Geforce GT 330 - DX 10.0
Nvidia Geforce 400 Series - DX 11

It could be that some function calls are faster or only on DX 10.1 videocards present! Wink
